Kate laughed looking at the girl. She nodded her head and held her best friend closely. “Of course babe, I mean when you walk by the building the front windows can have mannequins, and they can have shirts and sweatshirts with the recording studio logo that you design. Then behind the counter in the back could be a big office we share, then in the back back could be the recording studio.” She question looking at her. 

“Oh my God, this sounds so amazing! I love this idea so much.” Roxy jumped up and down, squealing excitedly, before enveloping her best friend in another tight hug. “This is why you are my best friend.” She pressed a kiss to Kate’s cheek before setting the blanket they had brought down in the sand, pulling off her clothes to reveal her bathing suit underneath.

Kate smiled and lowered the radio just a little bit. “School is great, I’m still trying to find an empty building to buy so I can make a studio, but it’s going well.” She laughed looking at her best friend “how’s my favorite fashion designer going?” She looked around outside the window and smiled as her navigation system showed they had 25 minutes left. 

“Well I can always help you look if you’re having some trouble. You deserve this Kate. And I’m going to make sure it happens for you if it’s the last thing I do.” Roxy turned her head to look at Kate momentarily before turning back to look at the road. “She’s doing amazing. Though I haven’t really seen any coture stores in this town, let alone any stores that would take my designs, so I guess I’ll just have to keep working on it.” She lifted her shoulders in a shrug.

Kate had just got out of school, and walked in the door when she saw her best friend was packed and ready for the beach. “Uhmm I have navigation darling,” Kate smiled and waved her iPhone in the air. Kate ran into her bedroom slipping off her clothes combing her hair then slipping into her black bikini with red pin stripes, she slipped on a short pair of jean shorts, and a black rolling-stones tshirt. She sighed to herself grabbed her brown back pack from Urban Outfitters and stuffed it with a towel, a book, her headphones, and sun screen. She made her way into the living room smiling at Roxy “I’m ready babe,” she laughed picking up her sunglasses off the coffee table and walking out the front door straight to her best friends car.  

“Oh, right.” She let out a laugh. Once they both changed into their swim suits, they headed out to the car and began to drive. Roxy hummed along to the song on the radio as she drove. “So how is school going? And the whole record label dream? I’m sure this town could definitely use some excitement. I can’t wait until your dreams come true.” She smiled brightly over at her best friend. Kate had been through so much and she deserved for this one good thing to happen for her.

Ever since they came to lima, Roxy felt like she didn’t see Kate or even Charlie for that matter, all that much. Sure they lived together, but they all went to school or had jobs and Charlie had Michael, and they were just too busy to ever be home for a long period of time. But that was about to change. The weather was starting to get warmer in Lima and Roxy had been dying to go to the beach. So she packed up a few things and once Kate had returned home from school that day, she loaded up the car. “So, do you happen to know where this beach is?” Roxy asked Kate as they began to drive. “Or are we going to end up getting lost in the process?” Roxy let out a laugh and turned on the car radio, one of her favorite songs beginning to play. She hummed along quietly as they turned onto the backroads.
